This Easter Weekend 9 surfers will surf as many waves as possible along the West coast over 24 hours of daylight... sounds like great fun but there is a serious objective behind it; all money raised will go to the 'Make A Wish Foundation'.
The surfers will be joined in the water by some well known faces such as Richy Fitzgerald, Easkey Britton, Fergal Smith and John McCarthy.
The guys behind it have a page on facebook and all details on the event can be seen here. This is a great idea and it sounds like there will be a ripping party in Lahinch on the Sunday night... one not to be missed; there will be a free bbq and an auction with plenty of surf gear... all finished off with a party into the small hours.
I'm hoping to get down to this one and get a small crew out surfing on the Sunday in Lahinch... roll on Easter!
