Mickey Smith: 'Dark Side of the Lens'
This is a powerful video, so crisp and clear and makes you sit back and just say Wow. The majority of the footage seems to be from around the Clare coastline with the unmistakable Cliffs of Moher in the background at various times.
The meaning behind it is so deep and slightly moving. Mickey Smith, probably the best surf photographer to land on these shores, portrays his passion in this epic short film. I was lucky enough to have a little chat with Mickey and get one of his photos up at Sea Sessions earlier this year. He is without doubt a great guy and totally unassuming... and his work speaks for itself.
