Ennischrone is a great location with over two miles of beach to surf along! The beach is perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers and can on occasions be a good location for the more advanced surfer.
During the summer months a section of the beach is life guarded, and can get busy enough with swimmers so watch where your dropping in!
The surf works well here with a south or south east wind and faces north north west - the main wave is a long right hander. There are reef breaks to the northeast of the beach for the more adventurous.
This location offers good variety and is not too far away from more testing locations such as Easkey.
Watch out for a rip at this beach on occasions which brings you towards the wall to the north... but the beach is pretty long so you should have a safe surf without much trouble.
