Just came across this short film of five top surfers spending 32 days at one extreme destination; The Artic Circle. The film is nearly 9 minutes long but the time flies by as you are sucked into this strange, cold and eerie world.
The sheer courage to go into such conditions is unbelievable and takes a certain strength and commitment.
The film portrays a dramatic feel with its slightly operatic soundtrack and robust landscapes. The surfers commentary is fitting for the setting and the tone of the film. They seem genuine, stoked and give an insight into the feeling and journey us surfers have while not coming across as being superior.
Well worth a watch, I thought I had it bad earlier this year with ice and snow in February at Strandhill but this is another level.
